Dubai Creek Tower

The Dubai Creek Tower is a supported observation tower built in Dubai, designed by Spanish-born architect Santiago Calatrava. The height of this tower is supposed to be 828 meters, the same as the Burj Khalifa, the tallest skyscraper in Dubai. The Creek Tower will be in the shape of an Islamic minaret, emitting a ‘beacon of light’ from its peak at night. The top of the Creek Tower will be in the shape of a lily flower bud and house ten oval-shaped observation decks. The decks will have a pinnacle room providing visitors with a 360-degree view of Dubai city. The construction of the tower was to be completed by 2022. But, the project got delayed, and the construction of the Creek Tower was put on hold due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Upon completion, the Dubai Creek Tower will be the tallest supported tower in the world. The completion date of the Dubai Creek Tower is still unknown.
The Royal Residences Atlantis

The Royal Residences Atlantis is a luxury resort, located on the crescent of the tree-shaped island, Palm Jumeirah, and a neighbor to Atlantis, the Palm. The luxurious resort will have 795 rooms and 102 suites, including 44 suites with private pools. This 43-story property will have ninety swimming pools, including a rooftop infinity pool named Cloud 22 Sky Pool, which will be suspended 96 meters above The Palm on level 22. The property will house a six-room Hammam Sensorium, salon, and indoor and outdoor fitness spaces. The lobby will have three aquariums and the largest jellyfish tank, housing around four thousand jellyfish. There will be fourteen high-end restaurants at the Royal Atlantis where guests can enjoy meals cooked by celebrity chefs like Gordon Ramsay, Gaston Acurio, Arian Bindy, Costa Spiliadis, Nobu Matsuhisa, and Jose Andres. Bookings will commence from July 2022 and stay from January 2023.
The Heart of Europe
The Heart of Europe is a five-billion-dollar project developed by the Kleindienst Group. This island destination, based on six themed islands, will bring the best of Europe to Dubai. The Heart of Europe, located two miles from the coast of Dubai, will offer European dining and cultural options. There will be multiple options for cafes, resorts, bars, boutiques, and entertainment. The attractions here will be the first dedicated Wedding Hotel, the first Underwater Hotel with Gym, The first Floating and Underwater Living Experience, The first Artificial Rainy Street, and the world’s first Outdoor Snow Plaza. Phase One of the Heart of Europe consists of Germany Villas, Sweden Beach Palaces, Floating Venice, Honeymoon Island, Switzerland Island, Cote d’ Azur Resort, and Portofino Hotel. This project is expected to be completed by 2022 or 2023.
Marsa Al Arab

Marsa Al Arab is Jumeirah’s ultra-luxury resort planned to open in 2023. At the tip of Dubai’s largest private beach, this property will complete the Jumeirah Group’s oceanic trilogy, including the sailboat-shaped Burj Al Arab and the wave-shaped Jumeirah Beach Hotel. This mega project built in the shape of a superyacht includes two manmade islands, six office towers, 140 luxury villas, more than three hundred suites, four penthouses, 83 luxury apartment suites, and four hundred retail outlets. All the rooms of the hotel will be offering spectacular views of the Arabian Sea. Apart from this, there will be a yacht club, a private yacht marina, a convention center, and a helipad in the hotel. The attractions in the hotel will include the Marine Park, Cirque du Soleil, Pearl Museum, and Wild Wadi Waterpark. The Wild Wadi Park will be relocated near the beach, and the size of the park will increase to more than twice its current size, with more exciting rides added.
Meydan One Mall

Shopaholics will soon have another destination to explore in Dubai. The Meydan One Mall will be among the biggest malls in Dubai for leisure, shopping, and entertainment. The various attractions and activities in the upcoming mall will include 1 km long indoor ski slope, a dancing water fountain with a choreographed display of water and digital color array, 12000 sq. mt. Winter Village, 711 mt. high Meydan One Tower, an 8.2 km Crystal Lagoon, luxury hotels, more than five hundred retail outlets, 180 eateries, and a medical store. The mall will have a 21-screen cinema and a 24000 sq. mt. multi-purpose sports facility with a basketball court, football court, and an indoor cricket ground. There will be no shortage of leisure and entertainment at Meydan One Mall. There will be a multi-purpose arena in the mall called the Grand Civic Arena with a capacity of thirty thousand. Meydan One Mall was initially supposed to open in 2020. However, due to a worldwide pandemic, the opening date is towards the end of 2022.
Ciel Dubai
Ciel in Dubai Marina will be the tallest hotel in the world. Designed by the architectural company NORR Group Consultants and built by the First Groups chief development partner, China Railway Construction Corporation, the 365 mt. high Ciel Hotel will house over a thousand suites and guestrooms. There will be an all-day dining option available on the 13th floor, a rooftop infinity pool, a Sunset Lounge on the 74th floor, and a Horizon Bar on the 76th floor. On the 82nd floor, the Ciel Observatory and Lounge will provide visitors with a 360o view of the cityscape. A health club and a luxury spa on the building’s 54th floor will offer amazing views of the Dubai Marina. One of the key features in the Ciel will be a three hundred-meter atrium with vertically stacked landscaped terraces on the building’s 82 floors. This site is still under construction and scheduled for completion in 2023, with the grand opening in the first half of 2024.
Several projects opening this year have faced labor issues and resource availability related to the global pandemic. On the other hand, some projects have moved forward very quickly. The construction industry in the United Arab Emirates is expected to grow in the coming years. As per Dubai Plan 2040, a comprehensive plan for urban development, estimates are that about five lakhs of new units will be a part of the city’s skyline. Over the next two decades, Dubai will see a rise in infrastructure and property to accommodate the growing population.
